Move further away to avoid traffic

Wishful thinking.

Wishful thinking.

File the above advertisement under ridiculous. Trying to entice Metro commuters to live in West Virgina — who conceivably would work in the D.C. area if they are riding the Metro — the state puts forth this message: “Less traffic time, more family time.”

So, the solution to your tough commute is to move to the panhandle of West Virginia and take either a 90-minute drive and/or train commute combo, thereby somehow buying you more time to spend with your family? Sorry, this isn’t opposite day, week, year or life.

If you want to save yourself from traffic, move closer to work. If you want to buy a house for $100,000, move to West Virginia.
