If you have recovered from inspecting Haynesworth’s on-field usage in the Redskins’ 13-7 win over the Cowboys, take a look at the NCAA D-I football polls. Amazingly, the Terps are getting some national love.
Maryland gets six votes in the AP poll and seven in the USA Today poll. For reference, the 25th-ranked team in each poll is under 100 votes and next week’s foe, West Virginia, is No. 21 in each.
A win against the Moutaineers would likely shoot the Terps into the top 25, and then if they are feeling extra Terpish, a week four loss. Us Maryland fans are very suspicious of any early season love for a team thought to be among the worst in the ACC just two weeks ago.
